Rhonda's teaching of yoga is gentle and at the same time powerful. It suits all students - the experienced and the new. Rhonda's classes include a wide range range of asanas, but they vary from class to class in order and the flow of movement. Each class is a little different, having a sense of exploration rather than a set structure. At the end of each class I feel all the parts of my body are warm, relaxed and integrated. Rhonda's classes also have a strong sense of inclusivity. This comes from the lightness and humour in her approach and clarity and gentleness which which she talks you through moving into and out of asanas and the placement of different parts of the body, always as an invitation and with a focus on the breath. This unhurried approach allows me to stay mindful and centred throughout the class, without having to look to the front for guidance. Rhonda's emphasis on yoga as a holistic practice, recognising the emotional, the spirtual and the physical together and being comfortable with the self is especially appreciated. Her classes are very gentle and soothing to my body and help calm my whole state. She offers very balanced routines with a good mix of sitting, lying and standing poses, and a blend of strengthening and stretching movements. She always offers alternatives for all levels and abilities and caters to my shoulder injury giving modifications wherever needed. She offers a trauma informed practice where I always feel she's got my back and is keeping an eye on us all. Her Kundalini classes are also very balanced, at times being more moving, strengthening and building, or more meditative. She often guides us through mantra and movement sequences which I love and help take me to a very deep place. I love her selection of Kriyas and always look forward to what she has chosen for us next. She weaves humour and whole hearted kindness and compassion through all her classes.
